Bathing
A bird should have the ability to bathe 2 to 3 times a week to stay healthy and clean. Usually birds will bathe themselves, whether its in their water dish or if you make bowl of water available. Sometimes, they will find whatever water possible and flick it everywhere, including on you. Although sometimes its fun to teach your bird to enjoy the shower. They may enjoy it more than you thought possible, plus it's fun to watch.
You may have a bird that is reluctant to "jump right in,"but they still need to have baths sometimes. You can try to leave an actual bird bath at the bottom of their cage at least every week. This will allow the bird to get used to it and may become curious about what it is. Your bird may be shy and you could leave the bath in there while you go into another room for a little bit. If this still doesn't work, you may want to get a spray bottle and try misting your bird. Birds don't seem to enjoy this way as much but they still need it. If you didn't get a bath for a week, you would probably start feeling itchy and dirty, it is the same for your bird. They have dandruff that they need to get rid of and get everyday dirt like we do.

Mirrors
Birds love mirrors but sometimes they are not the best thing. If you give your bird a mirror they may start talking to it and really enjoying themselves. Although, if you want your bird to be more personable, you may want to rethink allowing your bird to have a mirror daily. Sometimes the bird does not understand that the bird in the mirror is not real. They often get attached to the other bird and will not want to leave it. They might start biting to keep you away or to make sure you don't take them away. They also may start getting angry at the mirror, because they cannot feed or clean the other bird. Some others may not get attached but will become defensive. They think the other bird is trying to take over their cage or attack.
Stretching The Vocals
Sometimes your bird may start doing an odd movement with it's mouth and neck. No need to worry, this is normal. There is nothing you need to do when your bird is doing this, but you can try to interact to make it more fun for you and the bird. You could sing with the movements, your bird may do it longer and more just to listen to you. You could also copy the movements with your head and neck to make it into a follow the leader type game. They often like to copy your movements.
Playing With Electronics
You will learn that birds love messing with electronics, with all the buttons they can pull and chew on. They may even learn how to use them. I had a bird that knew how to play a movie on the computer. You may not mind them playing with or on your electronics or you may want them to stay away. You don't mind them playing, then you could teach them how to do certain things with that device. Just remember, if that is the case, to reward when they do that certain thing. If you don't want them to mess with the device then try to distract them with something else and give them attention when they go to the toy. Try to train them to leave it alone this way since birds don't respond well to punishment.
Wings!
When a bird shows its wings, it could mean a couple things. For one, it could be that it wants to show off. They will do this to get your attention, so make sure you give the bird plenty of attention and praise. They will also do this when they want to show dominance. When the bird feels like it's territory is being threatened, it will raise it's wings and open it's beak toward the threat. Showing its wing is also a mating behavior. Around mating season, both male and female will raise its wings to show its size.
What does the birds behavior mean.
Feed each other or regurgitate food: The birds may only do this with other birds or they may try to do it to you. This is a sign of very strong affection.
Beak Grinding: You will often hear a grinding sound from your bird around bed time. When a bird is content, they will grind the bottom part of the beak with the top part of its beak.
Feather Picking: Frequent causes are that they are making a nest or they are stressed out. Sometimes birds get stressed from not having enough attention or enough toys.
Fluffing(not prolonged): When your bird fluffs its feathers and spreads its feathers, it is releasing tension and stress. Its like a different kind of stretch for your bird. This also lets them get rid of some loose fluff feathers.
Hissing: Frightened
Screaming: the bird feels neglected, may be a hard habit to break
Sneezing: clearing the nares or nostrils
